Christine Walter, LMFT, PCC

Christine Walter brings a combination to her work that's genuinely rare: she is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, an ICF PCC-certified executive coach, and a former All-American athlete and professional tennis coach. She doesn't just understand high achievers academically — she has lived the pressure of performing when everything is on the line, and she has spent more than a decade helping driven clients carry that pressure without letting it cost them the relationships that matter most.

That dual perspective shapes everything about her practice. Years of coaching executives and leaders taught her exactly how demanding careers strain even the strongest partnerships — and why so many successful people feel like they're winning at work while quietly losing at home. Her clinical training gives her the tools to actually change it. Christine works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, grief, intimacy struggles, infidelity, and high-conflict relationships, drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy, somatic work, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is also the creator of the NeuroEmotional Regulation™ (NER™) framework, which helps clients understand and work with their nervous system rather than against it.

Her approach is systemic, client-centered, and honors the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. At its heart is a simple conviction: we are all part of an emotional system bigger than ourselves, and lasting change begins the moment we take responsibility for our part in it. Christine believes life will bring you pain all by itself; her job is to help you create the joy.

Licensed in both Florida and Michigan, she sees clients in person in Fort Lauderdale and online statewide in both states, with her Michigan practice based in Traverse City.

Mission

"Healthy relationships are the foundation of a happy life."

That belief is the heart of Christine's work. The longest-running happiness research in history points to one conclusion: the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives — more than money, status, or achievement. Yet relationships are the one thing most of us were never actually taught how to do.

That's the gap Christine has made it her mission to close. She helps individuals and couples break through communication barriers, interrupt the self-destructive patterns that keep them stuck, and build the kind of connection that doesn't just survive life's pressure — it grows stronger under it. Because when one relationship heals, everything it touches changes: families, workplaces, communities.

Connection is contagious, and Christine believes it's how we change the world — one relationship at a time.
